*We have designed our Snug as a seven piece kit. This allows for easy transport and easy on-site assembly. *
Their arched design means that rain and snow wash straight off, rather than collecting on the roof and causing damage over time. Similarly, their curved shape means they withstand high winds effectively, making them ideal for exposed locations.
We can either bring the 7 piece snug kit to your location in the UK and assemble it for you.
Or we offer a easy build DIY self-assembly kit. Where we will provide you with assembly instructions, as well as offering phone support if required.
The Gothic arched frames are constructed from a triple layer of sustainable, structural exterior-grade plywood which is highly durable. They are then screwed and glued together with a high-quality, fully waterproof glue.
The internal face side of the Snug is made from the same high quality plywood.
These are both painted in a colour of your choice with a high quality, industrial Teknos 4 coat paint system.
The Snug sits on 2 ground skids made from Accoya Eco timber with a 25 year, no rot guarantee
The standard external cladding is made from a preservative pressure treated timber. This can be upgraded to a Douglas fir, Oak, or Accoya timber cladding.
The cladding we use will last for many years without any treatments. This will naturally weather and turn silver in time.
The internal paint work is an exterior paint and will not require any maintenance for many years.
The Snugs are built on 2 ground skids, which are made from Accoya Eco timber with a 25 year no rot guarantee.
This means they can be positioned on any level ground surface without the worry of the base rotting.
The solid heavy duty construction means they do not need to be fixed down.
All fixings used are stainless steel to prevent any rusting.
To comply with planning laws, our Snugs are truly mobile and can be moved easily. If you have any concerns its always recommended to do your own checks.
To move your snug, lift each side of the Snug with a leverage bar and inserting a set of rollers (scaffold pole, or Broomhandle) with a scaffold board underneath to help the rollers move, the Sung can then be pushed to a new location, this will require 2/3 people.
Price quoted is assuming all materials can easily be delivered to the exact location of where the shelter is to be installed and that the ground is level and ready for the erection of the shelter. A small fee will be charged to allow for any extra work that may be required: For example, carrying timber across fields to location, ground work etc.
If you are concerned about access, have additional delivery requirements or feel that any of the above may be required, please contact us.
